First introduction of a new kind of PEATART during the 14th International Peat Congress

“It shows you that peat can be in balance!”

PEATART is an initiative of Dioni ten Busschen who was fascinated by peat during her visits to Estonian bogs in 2010. She has been a portrait painter for more than 25 years and has lately been successful developing a method to produce sculptures with peat.

At the congress an exhibition will be opened in the surrounding of a peatbog, telling the imaginative story of the people of Soosaare, a small community in central Estonia. You will see sculptures of hands, busts and other parts of bog bodies. Finally you will have an opportunity to pose for a photo session when you would like to order your own bust made of peat.

PEATART is introduced by Sphagnum Products B.V. and for more information you can go to the website www.peatart.com

Body, mind and Peatlands in Balance

To get a good start of the congress week we invite you to a yoga class at the Congress Venue Sunday 3 June.

In yoga, we unite the breath, mind, and body. Among yoga’s benefits are improved muscular strength and flexibility, increased joint stability, enhanced energy, reduced stress, and heightened wellbeing and balance.

Angelica Henriksson at Studio Karma is inviting us to a 1 hour yoga class on Sunday 3 June.
Sunday 3 June 16.00-17.00 at the Congress Venue.
